State Grid Huai’an Power Supply Company Accelerates Transmission Line Project to Ensure Reliable Power Supply

On September 22, at a reconstruction site in Huai’an, Jiangsu Province, power construction crews were engaged in installation work on Tower No. 39 of the 110kV Lian Branch Line, driving forward the project at full speed.

The 110kV Lian Branch Line under reconstruction is a critical transmission corridor linking the 220kV Lianshui Substation with the 110kV Zhihe Substation. To support the region’s rapid economic growth and rising electricity demand, State Grid Huai’an Power Supply Company has undertaken an upgrade project for the line, constructing 13.66 kilometers of new transmission line and erecting 60 new towers. Compared with the old line, the new infrastructure adopts higher-standard materials and design, significantly enhancing transmission efficiency and resilience.

According to the project manager, construction has faced significant challenges, with towers located in farmland and the route crossing major rivers and transport routes, all under tight timelines and heavy workloads. To ensure on-time commissioning, State Grid Huai’an Power Supply Company has developed a well-designed construction plan. The company has overcome challenges posed by the rainy season and high temperatures, maintaining progress while prioritizing safety and quality.

Once completed, the project will strengthen the 110kV grid structure in northern Huai’an, enhance power supply capacity and stability, and provide more reliable electricity for local industries and households.(Feng Qisheng, Zeng Mingjie)
