You ask, who am I? Am I the stone and brick weathered by time, or the palaces rising majestically against the sky? Am I the civilization shaped over millennia, or the vibrant spirit of bustling streets and markets? Am I the wisdom steeped in the fragrance of herbs and plants, or the rhythm of the East — gentle yet strong? Yes, I am all of these, and beyond.
I am a vessel of civilization left by the ages, the pulse of culture flowing through the Grand Canal. I am the timeless blue of craftsmanship, the grand order unfolding across the halls of the Forbidden City. Brilliance and depth, stillness and silence — yet I have never ceased to grow. Inheritance and perseverance, innovation and transformation, diversity and unity, ancient and ever renewed.
You ask, why China? Why this capital? I answer with three thousand years of history, with rebirth in the digital age, with every spark of daily life.
I am inclusive, and I am innovative.
I am ancient, and I am modern.
I am Beijing, the ideal capital of China. The past lives on, the future is here. I have always been here, walking with the world.
