Gansu University Establishes China–Thailand Fuxi Intelligent Manufacturing Institute to Promote Vocational Education “Going Global”

To support educational cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, a delegation from Gansu Vocational University of Industry Technology (hereinafter referred to as “the University”) visited Thailand and Malaysia from November 10 to 15, carrying out a series of educational cooperation and exchange activities. During the visit, the University and Chonburi Technical College jointly inaugurated the China–Thailand Fuxi Intelligent Manufacturing Institute and the Overseas Talent Training Base for Technical Skills, marking the official establishment of the University’s first overseas branch campus in Thailand.

During the visit, the delegation held discussions with institutions including the Institute of Vocational Education: Eastern Region and the Malaysia China Institute. They reached a number of agreements on topics such as joint curriculum development, faculty exchange, and standards certification, and signed memoranda of cooperation.

Wen Yun, Vice President of the University, stated that the University will focus on intelligent manufacturing and build a comprehensive platform integrating talent cultivation, technological R&D, and industrial services, further deepening vocational education cooperation between China and Thailand, as well as China and Malaysia.

This cooperation represents a concrete practice in the internationalization of China’s vocational education and provides a new model for vocational education collaboration among the countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. (Text/Photo by Huang Xiaohui)
