Distribution Network “123” Project Paves the Way to Prosperity

Recently, bamboo shoots from Le’an County in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province successfully secured international orders. Behind this achievement lies the solid power support provided by State Grid Le’an County Power Supply Company.

Since the launch of the Distribution Network “123” Project in 2023, State Grid Le’an County Power Supply Company has closely aligned its efforts with the electricity demands of the bamboo shoot industry. By vigorously advancing distribution network upgrades and renovations, the company has invested a total of 162 million yuan, constructing and upgrading 488 kilometers of power lines, adding 82 distribution transformer stations, and increasing transformer capacity by 21,800 kVA. These efforts have provided continuous and stable power support for bamboo shoot processing.

Reliable power supply has ushered in a “golden period” of development for bamboo shoot processing enterprises. Founded in August 2022, Le’an Jinzhushe Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. relies on more than 66,000 mu (about 4,400 hectares) of local bamboo forest resources and specializes in the processing of dried black bamboo shoots and dried spring bamboo shoots. In its early stage, the company operated as a small workshop with a monthly electricity consumption of only 2,000 kWh. After the installation of a 250 kVA transformer in April 2023, the enterprise expanded steadily. In 2024, it purchased and processed 250,000 kilograms of spring bamboo shoots, created employment opportunities for more than 600 households, achieved an annual output value exceeding 10 million yuan, and recorded total annual electricity consumption of 97,500 kWh.

A single bamboo shoot supports a thriving industry that enriches local communities. Through reliable power supply, State Grid Le’an County Power Supply Company is helping Le’an transform its ecological advantages into economic strengths, enabling “lucid waters and lush mountains” to become “mountains of gold and silver.” In doing so, the company is helping build a path to prosperity that benefits thousands of people, vividly embodying the service philosophy of “People’s Electricity, for the People.”
