For the 2026 skiing season, Meihuashan Scenic Area has introduced 60 new low-temperature snowmaking machines, paired with a 1,280-meter high-efficiency magic carpet, as well as multiple snow grooming vehicles and snowmobiles. These upgrades ensure soft and evenly distributed snow quality that meets professional skiing standards. With 5,000 sets of new ski equipment and the capacity to accommodate 5,000 visitors simultaneously, the resort can meet the skiing needs of visitors of different age groups and skill levels.

Notably, the ski resort has extended its operating hours until 9:00 p.m. daily. More than 300 professional lighting systems create a vibrant night skiing experience, filling the gap for high-quality night skiing in southwestern China. Supporting transportation facilities have also been further optimized, with the addition of 1,500 parking spaces, free shuttle buses, and direct routes from the high-speed rail station, forming a convenient “fast travel, slow-paced touring” transportation network.

The deep integration of culture and tourism is a core highlight of this ski season. The carefully designed “Southern Snow Village,” featuring 98 snow-covered wooden cabins, blends northern-style snowy landscapes with southern folk culture. A range of offerings, including intangible cultural heritage performances and interactive pet experiences, has been introduced to create an all-day experiential chain.

In addition, the resort has launched a “Snow Sports in Schools” initiative targeting young people. Through measures such as distributing 100,000 free skiing tickets and providing 1,000 free professional skiing lesson slots, the program aims to promote winter sports among youth in southern China and support the implementation of the national fitness strategy.
