“Sir, as the weather gets colder, please remember to turn off your heating devices after use.” On January 5, staff from the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company visited a community in Sheqi County to explain winter heating electricity safety tips and ways to prevent potential electrical hazards, to help ensure residents stay warm during winter.
In recent days, dropping temperatures have led to a continuous rise in power grid load. To guarantee a reliable power supply during the heating season, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has actively carried out its “Warm Winter Initiative.” Staff members conducted inspections in villages and communities to identify electrical safety risks, provided door-to-door services to households in need, and worked to eliminate potential hazards to ensure safe electricity use during winter. They also shared winter electricity safety knowledge with residents, offering detailed guidance on precautions and the correct use of commonly used devices such as electric blankets and heaters. These efforts aim to encourage the habit of switching off power when leaving and to enhance public safety awareness. In addition, personnel from local power supply centers promoted online electricity services through multiple channels, including WeChat groups, text messages, and in-person visits.
Looking ahead, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will continue to expand service outreach, further improve power supply reliability and service quality, and strive to build an efficient, high-quality, and reliable electricity service environment, ensuring safe electricity use and a warm winter for residents.
