On January 19, at the Chaozhou Special Session of the "14th Five-Year Plan" Guangdong Achievements Press Conference, Su Linchun, Director the of Chaozhou Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, presented a brilliant industrial business card to the outside world — Chaozhou Intelligent Sanitary Ware. From quiet dedication to leading the nation, from "hidden champions" to sailing overseas, Chaozhou is fully polishing the regional brand of "Chaozhou Intelligent Sanitary Ware" with a solid industrial foundation, clear upgrading paths, and an open global perspective, striding towards a broader world stage.

Chaozhou's journey of intelligent sanitary ware going global is built on a solid industrial foundation. Currently, there are 409 enterprises in the city that have obtained 3C certification and are engaged in the production and OEM manufacturing of intelligent toilets, including 47 large-scale enterprises. In 2024, the total output of intelligent toilets in Chaozhou was approximately 5.6 million units, accounting for 31.4% of the national total. Among them, fully intelligent and lightly intelligent toilets accounted for 21.4% and 52.6% of national output, respectively.

The industrial agglomeration effect is remarkable, with a number of leading enterprises such as Hengjie, Anbi and Minjie, as well as 5 "excellent, large and strong" enterprises, 17 provincial-level "specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative" enterprises, 16 innovative enterprises, and 28 high-tech enterprises. The in-depth automation and intelligent transformation in the production process, and the wide application of technologies such as high-pressure grouting, three-dimensional drying and automatic glazing have improved efficiency and quality consistency, providing a solid guarantee for large-scale, high-quality supply to the global market.

The rise of Chaozhou's intelligent sanitary ware is not simply quantitative growth, but a profound "quality revolution". In recent years, Chaozhou has promoted the industry's transition from "scale expansion" to "quality improvement." An industrial upgrading task force led by the mayor was established, policy documents such as the "Three-Year Action Plan for Improving Quality and Efficiency of the Intelligent Sanitary Ware Industry" were formulated, and 15 targeted measures were introduced. In particular, in terms of quality standards, Chaozhou took the lead in formulating and revising two group standards—"Intelligent Toilets" and "Lightly Intelligent Toilets"—with requirements on water-saving performance and intelligent control precision exceeding national standards. At the same time, the country's first "Greater Bay Area Certification" for intelligent toilets was launched, along with the construction of the first regional quality traceability platform. Rigorous quality control and standards leadership have injected trust and value into the regional brand of "Chaozhou Intelligent Sanitary Ware."

Facing the global market, Chaozhou has deepened its efforts in cross-border e-commerce to smooth online overseas channels. By holding a series of activities such as "Cross-border E-commerce + Industrial Belt" and "Chaozhou Products Going Global · Connecting the World," organizing resource-matchmaking sessions with mainstream platforms, guiding enterprises to establish overseas warehouses, and strengthening brand promotion through overseas social media and search engines, it has built an online regional brand display platform. The opening of online channels has enabled Chaozhou's intelligent sanitary ware to quickly reach global consumers.

Meanwhile, Chaozhou has expanded offline exhibitions to consolidate its traditional foreign trade advantages. Relying on the Chaozhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, the city has built a regular exhibition and sales platform, carefully organized branded events such as the "Intelligent Sanitary Ware Industry Conference," and actively organized enterprises to participate in major domestic and international exhibitions, including the Canton Fair and "Guangdong Trades Globally" to secure orders. At present, Chaozhou's intelligent sanitary ware products have been exported to more than 130 countries and regions worldwide, including Europe, the Americas, and Australia, with an increasingly comprehensive export network.

Going forward, the global expansion blueprint for Chaozhou intelligent sanitary ware is more ambitious and the path clearer. From the banks of the Han River to every corner of the world, Chaozhou intelligent sanitary ware is steadily advancing along an upgrading path from manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing, from products to brands, and from domestic markets to the global stage. By polishing the regional brand and sailing overseas, the Chaozhou intelligent sanitary ware industry has become not only a vivid example of China's manufacturing transformation and upgrading, but also a compelling storyteller of the innovation and resilience of China's industrial clusters on the world stage.
