Jing’an County in Jiangxi Province is home to Jiulingjian Peak, which stands at an elevation of 1,794.49 meters. At this altitude, an alpine ski resort has been developed to provide public skiing services. The resort features a ski area of 100,000 square meters and has a daily capacity of up to 5,000 visitors. This winter, a new kilometer-long advanced ski run has been opened, with a vertical drop of 200 meters and a slope of 25 degrees, allowing visitors to experience alpine skiing in southern China.

Given the scarcity of ice and snow resources in southern China, the stable operation of ski resorts relies heavily on a reliable power supply. State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power has precisely aligned its services with the resort’s needs by establishing a one-on-one power service mechanism. This includes regular on-site visits, targeted line inspections, and in-depth equipment checks to eliminate potential electrical hazards at the source.
Furthermore, the company has assigned dedicated personnel for 24-hour emergency duty, ensuring near-instant response and rapid handling of power-related faults to guarantee the uninterrupted operation of electrical equipment. In response to the high electricity load during nighttime operations, it has tailored a scientific power usage plan based on time-of-use electricity pricing policies. By optimizing electricity consumption periods and load distribution, the plan has helped the enterprise reduce electricity costs by 6.7 percent.

By strengthening power supply reliability, it has injected strong momentum into the local ice and snow economy, helping this southern town transform cold resources into a hot economy and promoting the high-quality development of the ice and snow cultural tourism industry.
