Red brick walls, steel‑framed factory halls, and old water towers—tangible reminders of Xi'an's industrial past—have been imaginatively repurposed in the Time Culture Park renovation. The project follows the design concept of preserving the raw industrial character while adding contemporary functions, turning the former factory complex into a new urban landmark that blends cultural experiences with leisure amenities.
Rather than the neat formality of a traditional park, Time Culture Park favors casual, open-ended spaces. Its designers use a "time zone" concept to divide the site into four themed areas. A carefully planned commercial layout has reinvigorated the old factory buildings. The foundry workshop now hums as a lively sports center, and the former assembly hall has been transformed into a romantic and elegant wedding banquet venue. Old trees planted in the factory area still shade the central lawn, now alive with children's laughter and taking on a fresh, contemporary character.
