During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Guangxi has implemented strategies to strengthen the region through science and education, develop talent, and drive innovation-led growth, leading to the emergence of a number of outstanding research teams. Among them is a research team led by Wang Xiaolin, a researcher at the Guangxi Academy of Sciences, which has focused on research in artificial intelligence, sensing technologies, and intelligent robotics, and whose achievements have been widely applied in more than 500 major projects at home and abroad, including China's Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST), the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge, the Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway, Egypt's REF Bridge, and Indonesia's Melak Bridge.
