Camel Breeding Base in Alxa Right Banner Officially Completed and Put Into Operation

Recently, a camel breeding base supported by rural revitalization funds in Alateng Aobao Town, Alxa Right Banner, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, was officially completed and put into operation. The first batch of high-quality dairy camels has been successfully housed, and all camels are expected to be fully in place by April 15. With a total investment of 20.53 million yuan, the project is a key rural revitalization initiative, injecting strong momentum into the upgrading of the local camel industry and increasing the incomes of farmers and herdsmen.

Camel Breeding Base in Alateng Aobao Town

The base is equipped with comprehensive facilities, including camel barns, milking rooms, and forage storage units, with a designed capacity of 1,000 dairy camels. Adopting the "enterprise + cooperative + farmer/herdsman" model, the base is projected to boost the annual income of gaqas by 600,000 yuan and raise the average annual income of local households by 20,000 yuan through employment, entrusted breeding, and dividend distribution.

Going forward, the base will build an intelligent management platform covering the entire industrial chain and promote the transition of camel products toward value-added processing. Known as the "Hometown of Chinese Camel Milk", Alxa Right Banner is home to 80,000 Bactrian camels, with an annual camel milk output of 15,000 tons. The camel industry has become a key pillar supporting income growth for local farmers and herdsmen.
