Chongqing: 2026 Dianjiang Peony Culture Festival Opens with 19 Featured Events

On March 26, the 2026 Chongqing Spring High-Quality Tourism Resources Promotion Event and Dianjiang Peony Culture Festival officially commenced. This year's festival, themed "Peonies Bloom, Fragrance Promise Dianjiang," will continue until May.

During the festival, Dianjiang has designed a range of premium flower-viewing routes and launched 19 cultural, tourism, and sports activities. Visitors can explore the vast peony fields at Mingyue Mountain, admire floral landscapes such as the Caohui peony fields and Shaping rapeseed flower fields, or participate in events including a peony-themed painting and calligraphy exhibition, a traditional stone-ground tofu feast, a peony marathon, and festival concerts, enjoying a vibrant springtime cultural experience. 

On the opening day of the festival, Dianjiang also held a centralized investment promotion signing ceremony to present investment opportunities and launched a cultural-tourism-commercial-sports consumer season featuring promotional discounts across sectors including cultural tourism products, automobiles, and home building materials. During the event period, agricultural product markets and food carnivals will be organized, offering various discount packages to create a one-stop experience combining flower viewing, shopping, and culinary delights.

Going forward, Dianjiang will focus on the Mingyueshan Rural Revitalization Demonstration Belt, improve tourism infrastructure, develop high-quality homestays and educational travel routes, continue to host major sporting events, and accelerate its development into a leisure and vacation destination.
