Mochong River in Guizhou Becomes "Natural Home" for Wild Mandarin Ducks

Recently, small flocks of wild mandarin ducks were seen leisurely playing in the Mochong River in Mochong Town, Duyun City, Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, creating a beautiful ecological scene.
In recent years, Duyun City has continuously advanced watershed management and steadily improved the ecological environment. This has made the water of the Mochong River increasingly clear and the ecology along its banks increasingly excellent, turning the area into a "natural home" for birds to inhabit and breed. Seven or eight years ago, over 10 brightly colored mandarin ducks appeared on this clear river. According to local forestry authorities, the local wild mandarin duck population has now bred and grown to over 50.
The steady increase in the number of mandarin ducks—from just a handful to thriving flocks—is a vivid reflection of the continuous improvement of the Mochong River's ecological environment.
