Recently, at the construction site of Infrastructure Project No. 1563 of South Al-Ahmadi New City in Kuwait—undertaken by the Tianjin-based central state-owned enterprise (SOE) China State Construction Sixth Engineering Bureau (China State Construction Silk Road)—more than 1,300 builders from China and Kuwait have been working continuously. Over 220 sets of construction machinery are operating at full capacity, driving the construction of this key livelihood project into a "fast track" phase.
Construction site of the project
At present, all sub-projects have been fully rolled out, with construction organized in an orderly manner. Among them, the deep pipeline works—such as rainwater and sewage systems, which serve as preliminary works—are progressing rapidly and have reached about 70% completion of the total workload. This has laid a solid foundation for the subsequent large-scale construction of roadbeds, pavements, and ancillary structures. Meanwhile, key processes such as asphalt paving, water supply pipeline installation, and communication pipeline laying have all been launched. On-site operations now feature coordinated underground and surface construction, with civil engineering and installation work carried out simultaneously, forming a multi-level construction boom. The overall pace of construction continues to accelerate.
Faced with tight deadlines and a complex environment, the project team adheres to the principle of "treating the start as a decisive battle and the beginning as a sprint," integrating meticulous management throughout the entire production process. By strengthening daily construction scheduling, optimizing workflow coordination, and strictly implementing safety and quality inspection systems, the project ensures full control over on-site safety, quality, and progress. The project also places great emphasis on team building and employee welfare. Through improved logistical support and cross-cultural integration measures, it has effectively united Chinese and foreign employees, stimulated the internal motivation of all staff, and provided solid support for the rapid advancement of the project.
