Construction of King Salman Knowledge District in Saudi Arabia Progresses Rapidly

In recent days, the construction site of the King Salman Knowledge District project, located near the ancient city area of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, has been a hive of activity. Builders from the Tianjin-based central enterprise China Construction Sixth Engineering Bureau (China Construction Silk Road) are advancing the construction of this landmark project with high quality and efficiency, demonstrating ever-increasing "Chinese speed" and "Chinese quality."

The King Salman Knowledge District is a key project under Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" framework, with a total construction area of approximately 340,000 square meters. The project mainly includes several iconic cultural and educational buildings such as King Salman University, the Capella Hotel, the Saudi Royal Museum, and the King Salman Library. Upon completion, the project will further enhance the educational, cultural, and tourism levels of Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, and support the Kingdom's transition towards a knowledge-based economy.

According to Project Executive Manager Yuan Hao, the King Salman Knowledge District project has currently entered a critical stage of simultaneous multi-zone construction. The multi-purpose hall in Zone D of the King Salman Library has been successfully capped, steel structure construction for the auditorium roof of the North Zone of King Salman University is progressing steadily, and the third zone of the project is nearing its capping milestone. This past Spring Festival was Yuan Hao's ninth consecutive festival spent overseas. As a builder dedicated to frontline overseas projects, he continues to refine engineering techniques, promotes innovative construction methods, and enhances professional standards. "From blueprint optimization to construction operations, every step must be strictly controlled to ensure high-quality and efficient progress, making this project a benchmark for China-Saudi Arabia cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative," said Yuan Hao.
