To tackle the challenge of urban waste accumulation, the State Grid Xiangyang Power Supply Company has taken proactive measures to provide full-process power supply support for the Xiangyang Waste-to-Energy Plant. By facilitating the transformation of waste into valuable resources, the company has completed a circular chain of "waste treatment, green power generation, and grid integration," safeguarding the environment through corporate responsibility.
As the sole municipal solid waste treatment terminal in urban Xiangyang, Xiangyang ENFI is a critical facility for the reduction, resource recovery, and harmless disposal of the city's waste. Each ton of waste incinerated here generates 350 kWh of electricity. Approximately 75 kWh is used for internal operations, while the remaining 275 kWh is fed into the grid. The stable connection and efficient absorption of this clean energy are made possible by the comprehensive oversight of the State Grid Xiangyang Power Supply Company.

To ensure the safe and stable grid-connected operation of the Xiangyang ENFI Waste Incineration Power Plant, the company has implemented targeted, front-line measures. From formulating grid connection schemes and maintaining lines to providing emergency support, the company has built an all-around power assurance system. This ensures that clean energy is generated at maximum capacity and delivered steadily at full output.
Furthermore, State Grid Xiangyang has utilized technological innovation to boost green energy integration. "We employ a new energy power dispatch system that automatically verifies projected grid operating conditions for the next four hours every 15 minutes. This allows for the precise dispatch of green electricity and maximizes integration efficiency," said Yin Xiongxiang, dispatch team leader at the company’s Power Dispatch and Control Center. Through scientific dispatching and intelligent control, waste-to-energy power is seamlessly integrated into the regional grid, maximizing the value of clean energy to support local green development.
