Jiaozuo, Henan: Power Supply Safeguards Specialty Fruit and Vegetable Cultivation

On June 8, tomato greenhouses at Juxinyuan Planting Cooperative in Wangzhao Township, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, were full of ripe tomatoes, and workers were busy harvesting them. Staff members from State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company provided on-site service, inspecting greenhouses one by one for potential electrical hazards and delivering thoughtful support for specialty agricultural production.
As tomatoes are now in full harvest season, State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company has arranged regular inspections and maintenance of power lines, transformers and irrigation equipment at the cooperative to promptly identify and eliminate safety risks.
Tailored to the development of local specialty agriculture, the company conducted advance surveys on electricity use by large-scale growers, family farms and agricultural cooperatives in its jurisdiction. It has established dedicated electricity-use records for each household to dynamically track power demand. A fast-track electricity application channel has also been opened for greenhouse farming to greatly shorten the time required for farmers to connect to the grid.
During routine operations and maintenance, staff members carry out targeted inspections based on the different growth stages of fruits and vegetables, including seedling raising, fruit setting and harvesting, with priority given to power safety at each stage. In view of peak summer electricity consumption, staff members also guide farmers in operating electrical equipment properly.
Moving forward, State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company will continue to focus on the electricity needs of specialty agriculture, optimize the rural power grid and improve power supply reliability. It will further refine its service models to deliver full-cycle and customized power services for local specialty industries, using green electricity to support higher-quality and more efficient rural revitalization.
