Hailing from Madagascar, she crossed the oceans to study in China, carrying with her the hopes of her family and her homeland. By chance, she encountered and fell in love with Chinese martial arts. With fists and feet as her brush and sweat as her ink, she began writing her own "Kung Fu dream" on foreign soil far from her homeland. From a fleeting glimpse on the silver screen to the poised punches in the competition arena, martial arts for her is far more than the interplay of hardness and softness in its movements. It embodies the philosophy of "stopping violence through martial arts" and the wisdom of "nurturing one's spirit and cultivating inner strength". Through martial arts, she has come to understand China and appreciate its culture, while also finding her path forward at the crossroads of cultural exchange.

Odette, with her youth and her passion, is now writing a new chapter of China-Africa mutual understanding, affinity, and shared progress in China. Her story has just begun, and the youthful footnote of China-Africa friendship grows ever warmer and more touching because of encounters like hers.
