State Grid Shennongjia Power Supply Company: "Green Electricity" Safeguards the Protection of Rare Plants and Animals

On August 12, State Grid Shennongjia Power Supply Company organized the "Green Electricity Ark" youth volunteer service team to visit the Shennongjia Golden Snub-nosed Monkey Scientific Research Base and surrounding scenic spots to carry out volunteer activities to promote ecological protection.

At the event site, drawing on the current status of ecological protection in the Shennongjia forest area and the actual needs of golden snub-nosed monkey habitat protection, young volunteers conducted comprehensive ecological awareness activities through various forms, including graphic explanations, case sharing, interactive Q&A, and the distribution of popular science manuals. Volunteers introduced in detail the living habits, population protection status, and key points of habitat protection of the golden snub-nosed monkey, popularized wildlife protection laws and regulations and ecological protection knowledge in the forest area, and guided surrounding residents and tourists to develop a sense of responsibility to "protect wildlife and safeguard their ecological home."

Combining the characteristics of the power industry, volunteers also focused on explaining the advantages of green electricity, common knowledge of safe electricity use, and tips for energy conservation and carbon reduction. They introduced ecological protection measures for the power grid, highlighted the achievements of State Grid Corporation of China in power grid construction, ecological protection, and low-carbon empowerment, and encouraged everyone to adopt green and low-carbon production and lifestyles and protect Shennongjia's lush mountains and lucid waters.

Since its establishment, the "Green Electricity Ark" youth volunteer service team has regularly carried out volunteer activities on ecological protection, power-related science popularization, and other areas.
