On the afternoon of August 26, Nansha District of Guangzhou held the 2026 Second Media Organizations Entry Ceremony and International Communication Salon. Six media brands—the External Communication Center of Guangdong Radio and Television (TOUCH), the International Communication Center of Guangzhou Broadcasting and Television (C-WAVE), the Nanling International Communication Center of Shaoguan Culture and Media Group, the Global Hakka app of Meizhou Radio and Television, the Bauhinia magazine of Hong Kong, and Thailand's Thai News Agency—officially established offices at the Greater Bay Area (Nansha) International Communication Center. The total number of organizations based at the center has now surpassed 60, further expanding Nansha’s global communication network.

According to the center, since its inauguration in February 2023, the Greater Bay Area (Nansha) International Communication Center has attracted 32 mainstream media organizations from China and abroad in its first phase. In March this year, the center welcomed its first group of think tanks and media organizations from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

A center official said that the six newly arrived media brands each have their own distinctive strengths and complement one another, helping build a comprehensive, multi-level communication network that brings together provincial, municipal and district-level platforms, as well as those in Hong Kong and Macao and overseas.

In recent years, Guangzhou’s Nansha District has continued to strengthen the development of international communication content. During the 15th National Games, International Olympic Committee President Kirsty Coventry and IOC Honorary President Thomas Bach visited competition venues in Nansha. Kenneth Fok also visited the Greater Bay Area Lantern Festival and promoted Nansha to audiences around the world. NBA star Jalen Green and other prominent figures have also visited Nansha, further raising its profile internationally.

"'China Travel · Roaming China' International Communication Campaign Visits Nansha"

Guangzhou's Nansha District has also organized more than a dozen media and international influencer field trips, including a visit by a group of China-based foreign media outlets to the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), the "China Travel · Roaming China" international communication campaign, and the Nansha stop of "Twin Cities: A Taste of Guangzhou."

Through these initiatives, Nansha has sought to tell its stories to the world through the perspectives and voices of international media and influencers. (By Zhu Xiao, Liu Chao, Zhang Yue, and Yu Bingxian)
