With 100 days to go until the opening of the 2026 Global Intelligent Manufacturing and Electronics Products Expo (AIE 2026), preparations are in full swing. From December 3 to 5, the expo will be held simultaneously in Macao and Zhuhai, focusing on the full artificial intelligence industry chain. It is expected to attract over 1,000 exhibitors and 50,000 professional visitors from home and abroad.

According to the organizers, over 70% of the exhibition space has already been booked, with strong demand for zones featuring AI equipment and robotics, as well as smart home and living solutions. Special booths, high-tech enterprises, and specialized and sophisticated SMEs are expected to account for more than half of the exhibitors. Positioned as a "Smart Manufacturing Launchpad in China," AIE aims to go beyond showcasing intelligent products. Through global sourcing and business matchmaking, it seeks to connect China's intelligent manufacturing sector more closely with global markets.

Guangdong's intelligent manufacturing is going global beyond product exports, extending to technologies, equipment, and integrated solutions, spanning smart equipment, AIoT solutions, robotics, and AI consumer terminals. Four AIE 2026 exhibitors—Chengyi Group, Uascent Technology, Anno Robot, and INMO—offer a glimpse into this transformation.

Chengyi Group's manufacturing facility

In the equipment segment of electronics manufacturing, Chengyi Group has expanded from automation equipment for display modules and flexible printed circuits (FPCs) into AI hardware-related fields, including high-density interconnect (HDI) boards, substrates, advanced printed circuit boards, and advanced packaging. "AI will definitely be a major trend over the next five years," said Zhang Tianwei, chairman of Chengyi Group. Meanwhile, the company's international revenue accounts for about 20% of its total revenue, and it is stepping up expansion in markets such as Vietnam and Thailand, entering local supply chains alongside Chinese manufacturers that are expanding overseas.

The globalization of "New Guangdong Products" goes beyond exporting hardware. Uascent Technology's AIoT platform connects more than 20 million devices, providing integrated hardware and software solutions for products such as AI-enabled home appliances, AI toys, and smart-home devices. Overseas business currently accounts for around 40% of its total business. The company has deployed data centers in North America and the European Union, with its European operations having passed GDPR compliance audits, providing technical and compliance support for smart hardware entering different markets.

Anno Robot's products are sold in more than 70 countries and regions

Robotics is bringing Guangdong-made intelligent products into more tangible consumer settings worldwide. Anno Robot's robotic arms can make coffee, mix cocktails, and make ice cream. Its products are sold in more than 70 countries and regions, with overseas markets accounting for about 60% of its revenue, mainly covering Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East. "Product stability is extremely important," said Wang Rong, marketing director at Anno Robot.

AI+AR glasses developed by INMO

On the consumer end, INMO integrates entertainment, photography and videography, real-time translation, navigation, teleprompter capabilities, and large AI models into lightweight AI+AR glasses. Its products have entered markets including North America, Europe, and Japan, with overseas revenue expected to account for 50% of its total revenue this year. Commenting on the support of Guangdong's industrial ecosystem for product innovation, Chuanxue Yin, co-founder and SVP of Operations at INMO, likened it to "a good seed" and "fertile soil."

The four companies are not directly linked in an upstream-downstream supply relationship, but together they span key segments of the Greater Bay Area's intelligent manufacturing industry—from basic manufacturing equipment and intelligent solutions to commercial applications and consumer terminals—showcasing a common trend: smarter and more global.
