This Year's First Autumn Outing – Let's Head to Hulunbuir!

During the golden-autumn season, Hulunbuir presents its most spectacular natural scenery of the year. The Launch Ceremony of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region’s Autumn Tourism Season will kick off on September 6 in Erguna City. Hulunbuir has also released four premium themed autumn travel routes, extending a warm golden-autumn invitation to tourists. The best viewing period for local autumn scenery runs from early September to mid-October annually.

The four newly unveiled routes boast distinct features to meet varied travel needs. The "Northern Frontier Autumn Trek" Self-Drive Route follows National Highway G331 and links scenic spots including Erguna Wetland, Bailu Island and Lengji Village. Travellers can pick wild fruits, explore vast forest landscapes and enjoy stargazing. Supporting activities such as golden-autumn photography events and intangible cultural heritage handicraft workshops are available, making this route a perfect choice for an immersive experience of the autumn charm of the Greater Khingan Mountains.

The "Golden Autumn Reflections" Photography Route covers many popular photo spots. Along the journey, visitors can visit Erguna Wetland—Asia’s No. 1 Wetland—birch forests, forest sightseeing trains and the Aoluguya Reindeer Tribe, and feast their eyes on picturesque autumn scenery. It suits family trips and romantic getaways for couples, with supporting activities including photography contests and forest study tours.

The "Rich Folk Heritage" Cultural Route connects distinctive cultural and tourism sites across multiple banners and cities. It offers in-depth experiences of the diverse folk cultures of ethnic groups including the Oroqen and Daur. Travellers can visit historical relics and enjoy mountain-top sea-of-clouds views. This route is ideal for cultural and travel photography enthusiasts and sketch artists.

The "Autumn Flavour Feast" Gastronomy & Leisure Route focuses on unique seasonal delicacies, featuring grassland meat, fresh lake produce, wild mushrooms and Russian-style cuisine.
