In September, vast peanut fields in Zhuangtou Town, Weishi County, Kaifeng City, Henan Province, are entering the peak season for harvesting, processing and sales. On September 16, staff members from State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company visited a local agricultural and sideline products business, carrying out inspections of power lines and equipment to safeguard the peanut industry’s bumper harvest and improve quality and efficiency.
As a local featured pillar industry, Zhuangtou Town has developed a full-chain industrial model covering peanut seed breeding, large-scale planting, shelling and sorting, oil pressing, drying and warehousing, and e-commerce sales. During the autumn harvest, agricultural machinery in the fields, processing workshops, cold storage facilities and livestream e-commerce equipment operate at high loads, driving a surge in electricity demand.
In response, State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company organized staff in advance to visit the fields, peanut processing workshops, grain and oil processing sites, storage bases and e-commerce livestream bases to inspect potential electrical safety hazards, ensuring reliable power for peanut processing and production.
The staff conducted special inspections of transformer areas and low-voltage lines in the service area, focusing on power distribution cabinets and drying equipment at processing plants, promptly eliminating potential electrical safety hazards and promoting safe electricity use among business operators.
The company has also opened a green channel for electricity services and strictly implemented a 24-hour emergency repair duty system to rapidly handle various power supply faults and ensure uninterrupted operation of shelling, pressing and warehousing equipment.
Going forward, State Grid Kaifeng Power Supply Company will continue to focus on the electricity needs of local featured industries, optimize power supply services, and safeguard every harvest with reliable power and attentive service, contributing greater strength to rural revitalization and agricultural modernization.
