State Grid Zhangye Power Supply Company: Staying on Duty to Ensure Reliable Power During the National Day Holiday

Recently, operations and maintenance personnel from State Grid Zhangye Power Supply Company conducted infrared thermography on transformers, disconnect switch contacts and other key components at the 35 kV Hongshui Substation in Minle County, helping ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid throughout the National Day holiday.

As part of the pre-holiday power supply campaign, the company focused on 10 substations and key transmission and distribution lines across its service area, combining online monitoring with on-site inspection. Operations and maintenance personnel conducted infrared thermography at 2,520 points, patrolled transmission and distribution lines crossing farmland and crop-drying areas, cleared trees and other obstructions from power line corridors, and installed bird deterrents and warning signs. The company also worked with township governments and village committees to establish a coordinated power supply mechanism for the autumn harvest and distributed more than 1,200 informational materials. In addition, staff visited five Class-A scenic spots, three hospitals, 15 Party and government offices, and two transport hubs. They provided guidance on improving eight emergency response plans and pre-positioned mobile emergency generators at popular destinations, including ecotourism sites. (Text/Photos by Tang Xiaoqin)
