Approved for establishment in March 2025, the Inner Mongolia Philosophy and Social Sciences Language Laboratory (Pilot) is among the first batch of regional-level key humanities and social sciences laboratories designated by the Publicity Department of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee. It is developed and operated by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Academy of Social Sciences.

Drawing on multidisciplinary research capacity within the academy, the laboratory aims to build a general-purpose digital language platform for Inner Mongolia within three years. Priority will be given to developing key platforms including a modern Mongolian-language corpus, basic general-purpose software for Mongolian script, and the AMI evaluation system for Mongolian-language journals. It will continue to deepen academic exchanges and research cooperation at home and abroad. All development tasks are advancing steadily and in good order.

Going forward, the laboratory will focus on interdisciplinary innovation at the intersection of language and artificial intelligence. Leveraging Inner Mongolia’s distinctive linguistic resources, it will foster deep integration of scientific research innovation, academic evaluation and industrial applications. It strives to build a key humanities and social sciences laboratory that serves as a model in the region, providing solid support for the digital transformation of philosophy and social sciences in the autonomous region and the high-quality development of language intelligence in China.
