On October 30, the special session of the "Guangdong-Made Goods Go Global" Ceramics & Sanitary Ware Production-Marketing Matchmaking City Alliance, alongside the special matchmaking event for empowering the ceramics and sanitary ware industry through Guangdong's manufacturing sector, was launched at the Chaozhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. The 2026 Chaozhou Ceramics Industry Base Expo opened concurrently. The event aims to build an integrated display platform combining offline promotion and livestreaming across multiple media channels, deepen cross-regional industrial coordination, and help enterprises expand markets and boost sales.

Guangdong boasts a solid foundation in its ceramics and sanitary ware industry. In 2025, the operating revenue of above-designated-size ceramics enterprises across the province exceeded 100 billion yuan, ranking first nationwide. The province is home to multiple listed companies specializing in sanitary ware, including Arrow Home, HGC, D&O Home Collection, Dongpeng Holdings and Sitong Co., Ltd. Innovative products such as sensor-equipped smart toilets and barrier-free sanitary ware suites for elderly care are emerging at a fast pace.

Known as China's Porcelain Capital, Chaozhou hosts 510 above-designated-size ceramics enterprises. Its annual output and export volume of daily-use ceramics account for roughly 25% and 30% of China's respective totals, while those of sanitary ceramics make up about 45% and 35% of national figures, with both figures consistently ranking first nationwide. The annual output of smart toilets has surpassed 6.38 million units, accounting for over 30% of China's total output. Products are sold to more than 160 countries and regions. High-end core ceramic products represented by electronic ceramics account for more than half of global production and sales.

Aligned with the schedule of the Autumn Canton Fair, the exhibition adopts a dual-track model of "deepening domestic sales and achieving breakthroughs in foreign trade". It specially invites purchasers from professional ceramics markets in Guangdong, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian, Hunan, Shandong and other domestic regions, as well as purchasing delegations from more than ten countries including Saudi Arabia, Russia and the Philippines. Leveraging Chaozhou's strength of "exhibition in front, factories at the back", it provides one-stop matchmaking services combining exhibition visits and factory inspections, so as to facilitate the process of "Canton Fair lead generation — industrial cluster matchmaking — order conversion".

Moving forward, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province will continue to support the development of the ceramics industry. Together with all stakeholders, it will advance technological upgrading, digital transformation, market development and industrial cluster cultivation, further strengthen the reputation of "China's Porcelain Capital", and enable Guangdong-made ceramics and sanitary ware products to sell well nationwide and reach the whole world.
