Overseas Journalists were Invited to Attend the Opening Ceremony of the 14th Changchun Film Festival·China

In the evening of September 1st, the 14th Changchun Film Festival·China was officially launched. Jing Junhai, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin Municipal Committee and governor of Jilin Province delivered a speech during the opening ceremony, and Wang Junzheng, Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee delivered a welcome speech. Shen Haixiong, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and president of China Media Group announced the official launch of the 14th Changchun Film Festival.

The theme of the film festival is "New Era, New Cradle, New Power", and 15 films that were selected for the film festival will compete for the "Golden Deer" award. During the film festival, the famous performing artist Tian Hua shared her memories and stories about Changchun Film Studio. Invited by Publicity Department of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, overseas journalists from nine countries including, Egypt, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Russia and so on attended the opening ceremony of the 14th Changchun Film Festival·China.

Indonesian journalist Dedeh Shanti Krisanti said, "Actually, the opening ceremony surprised me. The light, music, and shows are of high quality. The trailer of the film played during the opening ceremony is specifically appealing." Santi wished that she would watch more films selected for the competition in the film festival. In her thoughts, all the Chinese actors and directors she saw during the festival were of charming personality.

The film festival impressed Russian journalist Maryna as well. "I'm familiar with film festivals. I have attended the film festival in Xi’an, but the 14th Changchun Film Festival·China is different." According to Maryna, the 14th Changchun Film Festival could show more about the history and development of Chinese films, and she could understand what contributions Changchun had made to the Chinese film industry.
