The Restaurant– Qiyuan in Chongqing: a Window for Cultural Exchanges

Based on a great cultural atmosphere, the cultural and creative park of No.2 Factory in Yuzhong, Chongqing has become a new "business card" of Yuzhong District.

The design of the restaurant, Qiyuan in the cultural and creative park combines traditional and modern characteristics together. With an industrial architectural style, the restaurant has become a "jewel" to the whole factory.

The restaurant was owned by three partners, one of them, Xie Yixiong is from Hunan. He hopes that the restaurant can provide a rather simple lifestyle for the modern citizens who have already got used to a rapid pace of life. The tourists can feel the charm of Yuzhong when they are visiting this place.

Xie prefers to combine the features of cuisines from different areas in China into his dishes. Xie have lived in Tibet before, so he often purchases natural ingredients from Tibet. The combination of Tibet natural ingredients with local food has added Xie's dishes with a wonderful flavor that mixes Tibet and Chongqing feature. "In the future, we'll keep introducing more dishes with different local features to the restaurant, and make the customers feel a free lifestyle when they are enjoying the dishes," said Xie.

Xie hopes that there will be more cultural and creative sites in Yuzhong in the future. With a more inclusive and diversified environment, Yuzhong will attract more people to contribute to the high-quality development of the whole district.
