People’s Park in Chongqing is located in the central area of Yuzhong District, Chongqing City. It is just less than 200 meter away from the flourishing Belt Tower Zone in Jiefangbei CBD. People’s Park opened to the public in 1929. With a history of 90 years, it is the first park ever in Chongqing. The beautiful ecological environment makes the park a good place where Chongqing citizens can spend their leisure time.

People’s Park has accumulated and received rich historical and cultural contents in the past 90 years. In the history, many local cultural events and activities were held in the park, and cultural celebrities in Chongqing often had get-togethers here as well. In 2018, the local government restored and reconstructed the park, aiming to make full use of the historical and cultural resources, and highlight the ecological, recreational, traffic, and cultural function of the park. Based on its historical and cultural resources, the park, while developing with Jiefangbei CBD, still maintains its own features of serenity and purity.
