2019 World Fly-in Expo Kicked Off in Wuhan

On May 18th, 2019 World Fly-in Expo kicked off at Hannan general airport in Wuhan, the central city of Hubei province.

During the four days, the Expo, which is divided into five sections, hosts 23 activities, covering aerial flight performance, aerial sports events, interactive activities, static exhibition and conference forum. The Expo have attracted about 560 aircrafts and 700 professional performers and competitors to participate in.

Grubbstroem John Allan Taylor, honorary chairman of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), said that aviation industry and air sports have rapidly developed in Wuhan, which impressed him deeply. He also said: “Wuhan is the best city for developing air sports and aviation programs because of its world-class professional technologies in air transport and aviation industry. With the combination of the industry and sports, Wuhan serves a good example in promoting the friendships among the world.”

In addition, the World Fly-in Expo, together with Wuhan Marathon, Wuhan International Horse Racing Festival， Wuhan Marathon Swimming and China (Wuhan) Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Festival, has been important festivals and international brands for Wuhan city.
