On the evening of September 16, the 10th China Jiaozuo International Taijiquan Exchange Competition and 2019 Yuntai Mountain Tourism Festival opened in Jiaozuo, Henan. More than 4,300 people from home and abroad participated in three types of competition, routine, instrument, and push-hand with 61 events. The competition lasted until September 22.

During the competition, representatives of Chen Styple Taijiquan, Chen Style Wang, Chen Zhenglei, Wang Xi'an, Zhu Tiancai, the famous actor and director Li Lianjie, and Tai Chi champions Qiu Huifang and Chai Yunlong were invited.

On August 18th, four cities in Greece and the United Kingdom carried out activities such as Taijiquan performance, kung fu show, and outdoor Taijiquan experience. A photo exhibition about the Tai Chi culture communication along the Belt and Road was also held at the same time. From September 2nd to September 15th, over one million Taijiquan lovers from more than 200 Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou and 36 overseas cities such as New York, Berlin, and Seoul participated in the wonderful performance of Taijiquan.

Jiaozuo is the birthplace of Taijiquan. It was named "Tai Chi Birthplace" by the Chinese Wushu Association. Yuntai Mountain is famous for its unique canyon landscape. It is one of the first batch of world’s global geological park and 5A scenic spot in China. Based on the two major brands of Taijiquan and Yuntai Mountain, the competition integrates sports events, cultural tourism, economic and trade activities, and urban construction. The competition is held every two years and it has become a grand event for the international martial arts community and the Chinese tourism industry.
