International Communication Event for the Youth From Ten Countries to Rediscover Charm of Weinan Kicks off

On September 9, as the flag of city promotion plan of "Helping Weinan Go Global" was passed from Zu Liang, Deputy Director of Publicity Department of CPC Weinan Municipal Committee, to Zhang Zihang, Director of International Student Affairs Office, School of International Education, Chang'an University, the four-day international communication event in which the youth from ten countries rediscover the charm of Weinan was officially launched in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province.

As international observers, Foreign students from ten countries, including Turkmenistan, Madagascar, Mozambique, and the Republic of Congo, will focus on the themes of "Exploring Smart Agriculture, Highlighting Rural Revitalization" and "Experiencing the Yellow River Culture, Telling China's Stories Well" so as to rediscover the charm of Eastern Shaanxi and learn about a real, multi-dimensional Weinan.

"We sincerely hope that foreign students from the Silk Road Youths Team will grasp the precious opportunity to learn about the great changes and fast development of Linwei District", noted Feng Junzheng, Executive Deputy Director of Publicity Department of CPC Linwei District Committee.

Ever since last year, Publicity Department of CPC Weinan Municipal Committee and School of International Education, Chang'an University have been promoting a series of events with the theme of "Promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage, Telling China's Stories", laying a solid foundation for telling Weinan's stories well and spreading Weinan's voice well. This year, Weinan has invited numerous foreign students, and they have, through visits and exchanges, tasted Weinan's delicious kiwi fruit, learned about the enzymes, witnessed the magnificence of "The World's Largest Granary" in Shaanxi Province, and studied agrarian culture on the banks of the Yellow River, thus helping Weinan go global.
