From Sept. 27 to Sept. 28, Qufu City of Shandong Province held the 2021 China (Qufu) International Confucius Cultural Festival and the 7th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations. Present online and offline were 172 experts and scholars from 16 countries and regions.

2021 China (Qufu) International Confucius Cultural Festival was themed on "Celebrating the 2,572nd Anniversary of the Birth of Confucius". The 7th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations was centered on "Dialogues among Civilizations and Global Cooperation" and comprised three sub-forums on "The Power of Culture in the Global Response to the Pandemic", "Diversity of Civilizations and World's Integrated Development", and "Common Values of Humanity and Building of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind". The event included Nishan Forum on Traditional Chinese Medicine for the first time. Themed on "Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind", it deeply explored the core value of TCM culture, tried to enhance the global influence of TCM and provided "Chinese Prescriptions" for the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

On Sept. 28, the Confucius Temple in Qufu held Xin Chou Year Public Memorial Ceremony for Confucius which attracted more than 600 participants. The online section adopted the main theme of "Commemorating Confucius in the Cloud" as it brought more than 40 domestic and overseas Confucius temples and Confucian culture related institutions together. It also encouraged the global ethnic Chinese and Confucianism lovers to jointly commemorate the ancient thinker on his 2,572nd birthday, inherit and promote fine traditional Chinese culture, as well as contribute to the innovative development and creative transformation of Chinese culture.

The event also included the Launching Ceremony of Confucius Culture Week for Chinese and Foreign Students, interviews with foreign envoys and exchanges with youths, boosting cultural exchanges and interaction from multiple perspectives and promoting fine traditional culture.
