In front of the main entrance of the scenic spot stands a large archway with three gates and four columns, engraved with the three Chinese characters "栖霞山" (Qixia Mountain) written by Emperor Qianlong. There are three eaves on the archway. Decorated with fish and dragons, the eaves are particularly eye-catching against a background of blue sky and white clouds.

After entering Qixia Mountain Scenic Area, the first attraction coming into your view would be Mingjing Lake, the “first attraction of Qixia Mountain”. A stone statue of Guanyin (Bodhisattva) stands in the center of the lake, with a small and delicately-built pavilion behind it. The attraction embodies the classical style of Jiangnan Gardens, with clear lake water and a refined and delicate overall layout.
