State Grid Huai'an Power Supply Company Upgrades Power Grid to Improve Power Supply Reliability

Recently, State Grid Huai'an Power Supply Company mobilized nearly 100 construction workers to carry out upgrades to the Caoze–Chenqiao (Heyi) 110 kV transmission line. In this renovation project, the original four single-circuit lines were optimized into a "double-chain" system composed of three double-circuit lines. The newly built and rerouted lines have a total equivalent single-circuit length of 1.587 kilometers. A total of two new towers were erected, while two old towers and 1.02 kilometers of outdated single-circuit lines were dismantled.

The project achieved a major upgrade of the power grid structure with relatively limited investment, delivering significant social and economic benefits.

In terms of social benefits, the double-chain grid structure eliminates weak links in single-line operation, greatly improving power supply reliability and effectively reducing the risk of large-scale power outages. This lays a solid foundation for reliable electricity supply for local residents during the summer peak demand period. Meanwhile, the optimized grid structure strongly supports the integration of renewable energy in the Jinhu area, facilitates the efficient grid connection of clean energy sources such as wind and solar power, and contributes to achieving the national "dual carbon" goals.

In terms of economic benefits, the upgraded power grid operates with greater flexibility and efficiency, substantially reducing line losses and fault repair costs. A stable and high-quality power supply helps ensure the continuous operation of local enterprises, avoids economic losses caused by power outages, improves the business environment, enhances the area's attractiveness to investors, and injects strong momentum into high-quality local economic development.
