The Construction of Three Functional Areas in Baihe Subdistrict, Longquanyi, Chengdu Starts a New Journey of High-Quality Development

Located in the southeast of Longquanyi District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, Baihe Subdistrict covers an area of 72.57 square kilometers. In recent years, on the strength of the construction of Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone, Baihe Subdistrict has accelerated its development and has initially formed three functional areas: a modern high-end manufacturing functional area, a modern urban service industry functional area, and a demonstration functional area of rural revitalization and agricultural industrialization.

A total of 405 enterprises of various types have now settled in the modern high-end manufacturing functional area, including two enterprises of which the turnovers have both exceeded CNY 10 billion, more than 110 projects of key parts and components, and more than 10 well-known international and domestic logistics enterprises. Their introduction has laid a firm foundation for building "Chengdu International Automobile City" for Longquan and an industrial park worth CNY 100 billion.

In terms of the construction of the modern urban service industry functional area, a number of new urban functional zones have begun to take shape, boosting the urbanization process of streets. In the next step, Baihe Subdistrict will comprehensively develop and utilize the Laochang Town with a size of 1.8 square kilometers, striving to build a model for the integration of industries and city.

In terms of the construction of the demonstration functional area of rural revitalization and agricultural industrialization, Baihe Subdistrict has created a modern agricultural demonstration zone in the mountainous area of Baoshi Village and Changsong Village, relying on the innovative demonstration project of the municipal peach industry demonstration park with a size of 1450 mu (about 0.97 square kilometers) and the Mengli Taoxiang Industrial Park with a size of 423 mu (0.282 square kilometers). Fruit tree experts from Japan, India, Bangladesh and other countries have come to visit and study.
