Hi, Tianfu New Area! | Silk Road Youths Praised the Scenery of Xinglong Lake: A City Embedded in Nature

On March 22, the activity of "Hi, Tianfu New Area! | Silk Road Youths' Exploration of First Recognized 'Park City' in China" kicked off in Tianfu New Area, Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province. "Silk Road Youths" from Russia, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, South Africa and other countries enjoyed the spring scenery by the beautiful Xinglong Lake and felt the ecological charm of this park city.

There's a special "underwater bookstore" by Xinglong Lake in Tianfu New Area. The bookstore's huge glass curtain wall next to the lake extends under the water, through which one can see the lush water plants waving in the semitransparent water, and fish swimming around, bringing readers the joy of reading "in the water".

"This bookstore is amazing. My daughter will love this place. Next time, I will bring her here to have a look," praised Tai Shan, an South African, at the "underwater bookstore" by Xinglong Lake. Seeing fish swimming and water grass swaying, the South Afrian photographer captured every splendid moment in the bookstore. "People can enjoy the slow-paced life here. Looking outside from the bookstore, the city seems to be embedded in the beautiful nature," said Tai Shan.
