Daka China 2022 Exploring Magnificent Landmarks - Hello, Yichang and "Splendid Three Gorges" Online International Communication Events Officially Launched

On August 23, 2022, Daka China 2022 Exploring Magnificent Landmarks - Hello, Yichang and  "Splendid Three Gorges" online international communication events, organized by CRI Online of China Media Group, Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Cyberspace Administration of Hubei Province and China Three Gorges Corporation, and hosted by Cyberspace Administration of Yichang Municipality, Yichang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and Hubei Branch of CRl Online, was launched in Yichang, Hubei Province.

The Daka China 2022 Exploring Magnificent Landmarks online international communication event is jointly organized by CRI Online of China Media Group and Cyberspace Administration of Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, Hubei, Henan, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Shanxi, Anhui and Shandong Province. With five themes of "Yangtze River Culture", "Yellow River Culture", "Grand Canal Culture", "Ice and Snow Culture" and "Ethnic Culture", the event invites foreign Internet influencers to take a look at local cultural landmarks with unique characteristics, aiming to showcase the splendid Chinese culture to the world and promote international humanistic exchanges. The Yichang section, which was launched on August 23, is the fourth stop of the Daka China 2022 Exploring Magnificent Landmarks campaign.

The event will focus on the theme of Yangtze River culture and present to the world the beautiful scenery of the Yichang section of the Yangtze River, the unique humanistic style, and the wonderful heritage culture. The event will show the open, diversified and dynamic image of Yichang, a world famous city of hydropower, on the global stage and inject a new contemporary connotation to the Yangtze River culture.

Yichang, where the event is held, is located in the southwestern part of Hubei Province, at the boundary between the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and has been known as the "gateway to the Three Gorges" and the "throat of Sichuan and Hubei". It has obvious geographical advantages. Yichang has a long history, rich resources, unique folklore. The Three Gorges Dam is world-famous, and the fusion of Qu Yuan culture, Zhaojun culture and Ba and Chu culture presents a variety of styles and charms.

The ambassadors, foreign media representatives and Internet influencers will visit the Three Gorges Dam, the Chinese Sturgeon Research Institute, the Qu Yuan Hometown Cultural Tourism Area, the Qingjiang Gallery Scenic Spot, the Bailihuang Alpine Grassland Tourist Area, the Three Gorges Family Scenic Area, the Xiba Night Market and other places. Through their lenses and words, they will tell the world the story of Yichang in the new era of high-quality development.
