Amazing Decade Witnesses the Beauty of Xi'an

In the last decade, Xi'an has made steady progress in exploration and ushered in magnificent transformation with great efforts. In 2013, the first China Railway Express "Chang'an" freight train departed from Xi'an, providing a convenient logistics channel for trade exchanges between Xi'an and Central Asia.

In 2013, Xi'an received more than 100 million tourists from home and abroad for the first time.

In 2014, after comprehensive renovation, the south gate area of Xi'an City Wall opened to the public. It has become a model of the harmonious coexistence of ancient style and modern charm in Xi'an and a beautiful name card highlighting the charm of the ancient capital.

In 2014, South Korea's Samsung high-end memory chip project completed production in Xi'an.

In 2014, five heritage sites in Xi'an, namely the Site of Weiyang Palace in Chang'an City of the Western Han Dynasty, the Daming Palace National Heritage Park of the Tang Dynasty, the Dayan (Giant Wild Goose) Pagoda, the Xiaoyan (Small Wild Goose) Pagoda, and the Xingjiao Temple Pagoda, were officially included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, heralding a new starting point for the Silk Road Economic Belt.

The 2016 Xi'an City Wall International Marathon kicked off at the south gate of Xi'an City Wall, with 3,000 runners from 27 countries and regions around the world participating in the event.
