The "Liaoning Style" Overseas Spring Festival Gala Will Be Launched in Romania

The joyous and lively Yangko Dance from Northeast China, the folk dance full of charm, the thrilling acrobatic show, the musical instrument performance with lasting appeal, and many more! On January 21, "2023 Romanian Chinese Spring Festival Evening Gala" full of Liaoning's local cultural characteristics will be presented to Romanian people on the "cloud."

When "Chinese style" meets "European style," locals will be gripped by the charm of Oriental culture.

The gala, jointly launched by the Chinese Cultural Center in Bucharest, Romania and Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and produced by Liaoning's provincial song and dance troupe, will be broadcast through the Facebook account of the Chinese Cultural Center in Bucharest, Romania. The official English accounts of Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism on Facebook and Twitter will also broadcast and promote the gala.

The show will be aired on the eve of the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Rabbit. The whole gala will combine the Chinese concepts of respecting nature and unity of nature and man with various performance forms such as folk customs, singing and dancing, and acrobatics. It will be an "overseas Spring Festival Gala" with marked national characteristics, distinctive regional features and mesmerizing artistic charm.

Liaoning's unique cultural performances will be the biggest highlight of the gala. The dances "Happy Chinese New Year" and "A Glimpse of Spring Scenery" are based on Yangko Dance from Northeast China, an intangible cultural heritage of China, and Manchu paper-cuts, respectively. Manchu women's group dance "Qipao and Beauties" will show traditional Manchu etiquette and folk customs to Romanian friends.

The wonderful performances will let Romanian people know more about the concepts, values and ideals of Chinese people as well as the ideological connotations of Chinese culture. They will also extend the best New Year wishes of people in Liaoning to the world.
