Located in Northeast China, Lyushun is a destination that boasts the earliest arrival of spring in the region. With the onset of spring in April, the region becomes a breathtaking scene as cherry blossoms burst into full bloom, painting the landscape in shades of pink and white. The flowers dance to the tune of the wind, creating a mesmerizing sight against the azure sky that appears no less than a stunning jade belt.
The 2023 Dalian Culture and Tourism Industry Development Conference kicked off with an opening ceremony on April 19. Travel agency representatives and cultural tourism celebrities from all over the country were treated to an unforgettable experience as they witnessed the inauguration of the China Dalian (Lyushun) International Cherry Blossom Festival, held in the picturesque Lyushun. As they immersed themselves within Lyushun’s stunning natural environment, guests were able to gain a deeper appreciation of its enthusiasm for enhancing cooperation, opening up, and enriching cultural exchanges.
The China Dalian (Lyushun) International Cherry Blossom Festival, held under the theme of "Cherry Blossom Dancing in the City, Spring Charm Shines in Lyushun, and Establishment of a Cultural Tourism City Oriented to Northeast Asia" was a grand spring flower viewing and outing tourism event featuring traditional Chinese culture and literature. Visitors were treated to a range of exciting activities, including artistic performances and cherry blossom night viewing. The festival also had unique themed events such as the Hanfu parade and the launch of the cherry blossom cruise. Alongside these activities, the festival showcased 16 major cultural tourism investment promotion projects across five categories, including cultural expositions, theme parks, and rural revitalization cooperation.
Representatives from travel agencies and cultural tourism celebrities visited the 203 Scenic Area and Baiyu Mountain Scenic Area during the launching ceremony of the conference. The 203 Scenic Area boasts more than 6,000 cherry blossom trees from about 30 domestic and foreign varieties. Its cherry blossom garden is renowned as the largest one in Northeast China, with the largest collection of cherry blossom trees and the most diverse group of cherry blossoms. Upon reaching the summit of Baiyu Mountain Scenic Area, travel agents and cultural tourism celebrities were able to appreciate the stunning panoramic view of the main urban area of Lyushunkou District. The breathtaking scenery showcased the seamless blend of mountains and seas, along with the bond between Tiger Tail Peninsula and the central area of Lyushunkou, and impressed all the visitors who came from various parts of the country.
