Exploring Beilin District's Charm: Diplomats Impressed by Its Tech Innovation and Cultural Creativity

On June 6, over 20 diplomats in China coming from 15 countries and regions along the Belt and Road embarked on a journey to the Beilin District of Xi'an. The purpose of their visit was to explore the driving force behind the changes taking place in the old urban area.

Various scientific and technological achievements were showcased. These included robots designed to provide assistance with rehabilitation training, membrane-forming agents capable of easily coating apples with a layer of film using just one spray, and low-altitude drone detection and positioning systems that accurately identify drone models. Diplomats in China embarked on an exploration of the Xi'an Beilin Uni-clustered Key & Core Technology Innovation District, which is renowned for its technological innovation. 

"We are fascinated by the new technologies and materials on display. My hope is that these technological advancements can be applied worldwide, benefiting a greater number of people," said Novruz Ceta, Chargés d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania to China.

Diplomats in China enjoy Sanchakou, a classic Peking Opera at Old Market Culture and Creative District 

Diplomats in China were treated to a series of performances at the Old Market Culture and Creative District. The program featured classic Peking Opera works including The Drunken Beauty and Sanchakou, performed by the Shaanxi Peking Opera Theater. The acrobatic performance Power and Beauty, which was once broadcast on CCTV-3, was also showcased. Additionally, the visitors were impressed by the activities highlighting intangible cultural heritage items such as stunning opera performances and relevant makeup, which were included on the list of intangible cultural heritage items, Chinese painting-based animation, and paper-cutting art.
