Students from Five Countries Experience the Charm of Chinese Culture in Liaoning Province

On July 11, the "Studying In Liaoning Understanding China" event kicked off in Shenyang, Liaoning Province.

International students from Belarus, Pakistan, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Yemen studying at Northeastern University, along with teachers and students from the Confucius Institute in Belarus, paid a visit to the Liaoning Provincial Museum, Liaoning Provincial Library, Industrial Museum of China, and 1905 Cultural and Creative Park. During their visit, they explored historical and industrial culture that bridged the past and present, gaining a keener understanding of China.

At the Liaoning Provincial Library, students visited the "Resonant Melodies: Guqin Cultural Exhibition," where they gained insights into Guqin culture while enjoying Guqin tunes.

Kaka, an international student from Turkmenistan, attentively observed Jiuxiao Peihuan Qin. He commented, "Every trace of the wear and tear on the instrument represents the passage of time and the profound history and culture of China. Made in the Tang Dynasty, the instrument enjoys a history spanning over a thousand years. I feel incredibly fortunate to see it!"

In Liaoning Provincial Library, students delved into the stories behind ancient books. Additionally, they watched the art of woodblock printing and experienced book restoration firsthand, immersing themselves in the time-honored Chinese culture.

The 1905 Cultural and Creative Park meticulously preserves industrial sites and styles, providing a unique setting for students to explore creative studios. Besides, it also offers them the opportunity to embrace the industrial heritage and witness the emergence of creativity and vitality from the land.

An Yuxin, a student from Russia, expressed her excitement, saying, "It is my first time visiting the 1905 Cultural and Creative Park. I am surprised to see so many interesting and creative cultural products here." She selected many gifts showcasing the unique characteristics of Shenyang for her family and friends.
