At the 1st anniversary of the opening of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games on February 4, "Future of the 'Ice Ribbon'", the third episode of the "Charming Beijing" TV series co-produced by Chinese and Italian teams made its debut on mainstream media and new media channels in the two countries. From February 4 to 10, the series will be available on major Chinese and Italian media and new media channels in succession. The channels include CRI Online (Italian Version), the Cinitalia app, Milano Pavia TV, and the new media platform of Fratellanza italo-cinese, an Italy-based cultural association.

Notably, after the 24th Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, the 25th Winter Games will be held in Milano and Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy in 2026. How can we deal with the venue after the curtains are lowered for the Games? How to fully leverage the legacy of the Winter Games to the maximum? The episode "Future of the 'Ice Ribbon'" showcases the Chinese ideas for the new use of the venue, providing inspiration and reference for Italy.

Combining detailed online introductions of Chinese and Italian anchors and direct on-site filming, the episode displays how the venue was built into a versatile ice sports center. Now the former National Speed Skating Oval has been opened to the public. With an ice-covering area of 6,000 square meters, it can accommodate 3,000 skaters doing sports at the same time. At present, the new center can serve 2,000 skating enthusiasts every day. "Future of the Ice Ribbon" shows the scenes of skating. Giovanni Moreddu, an Italian anchor, said in excitement that he couldn't wait to get in his ice skates and fly to Beijing to have fun at the new center.

The Overseas Communication Project of "Charming Beijing" TV Series, a project to spread Beijing's culture overseas, is launched by the Information Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and CRI Online. It is aimed at presenting a multi-dimensional and colorful city image, which is characterized by diversity, to the world and making more people get to know and feel the charm of Beijing. Three production teams were invited from Italy, Croatia, and the Republic of Korea to visit Beijing. Getting a close look at Beijing from various points of view, they shoot videos, make interviews, and produce a TV series which is then available via the mainstream media platforms of these three countries.

It is learned that the fourth episode "Sci-tech Innovation in Beijing: Front-edge Technological Demonstration Area Transformed from a Century-old Industrial Zone" will soon make its debut in Italy.
