Sichuan Zigong Acrobatics "Handstand, Nezha" Won the Bashu Literature and Art Award

Recently, the 10th Sichuan Bashu Literature and Art Award Ceremony was held at the Chengdu Overseas Chinese City Grand Theater. This award covers 59 works from 12 major art categories such as drama and film. Zigong's acrobatic work "Handstand, Nezha" was among them.

It is reported that the Sichuan Bashu Literature and Art Award, which is held every three years, is a provincial permanent professional literature and art award project approved by the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the CPC and the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, and is also the highest standard award project in the province's comprehensive literature and art category. In June 2022, the evaluation of the 10th Sichuan Bashu Literature and Art Award was fully launched, and a total of 788 pieces of applied works from 12 art categories were received. After qualification review, preliminary evaluation, final evaluation, and publicity, a total of 59 outstanding works in 12 art categories including drama, folk art, dance, and acrobatics were selected, of which only 5 acrobatics works won this award.

It is understood that in the past two decades, Zigong Acrobatics has repeatedly won the Bashu Literature and Art Award for its high-quality and rich cultural content. "We will continuously enhance cultural confidence, carefully, passionately, and vigorously inherit traditional Chinese skills, and promote local culture," said Li Yi, chairman of the Zigong Acrobatic Troupe.
