Tonglu Shan-Shui Art Field China 2023 Kicks Off

On March 25, the Tonglu Shan-Shui Art Field China 2023 was held in Meirong Village, Tonglu County, Hangzhou City.

As Hangzhou City is currently speeding up the development of cultural tourism belt, Meirong Village has seized the opportunity to reach an agreement with the Hangzhou Municipal Commerce Tourism Group Co., Ltd. on jointly building the first batch of "boutique B&Bs" along the Qiantang, Fuchun and Xin'an rivers, so as to help people in Meirong Village achieve common prosperity.

At the event, three native villagers sent out warm invitations worldwide with the message "I present you the beautiful landscape and China Tonglu welcomes you".

The program Golden Days in Fuchun was performed at the event, showing how art grows and blooms in the fields to lead people to prosperity.

The "Artist in Residence Program" was officially launched at the event, bringing artistic elements to rural development and allowing art to "naturally grow" here.

In 2021, the first "Between Mountains and Rivers" Tonglu Shan-Shui Art Field China was held in Meirong Village. In 2023, the event has undergone a nearly-three-month all-round upgrading, featuring not only art installations, but also a variety of art forms such as immersive performances, international music festivals, and ancient mansion theaters.

It is hoped that the promotion of the Tonglu Shan-Shui Art Field China will boost more investors' confidence in Tonglu's rural development, awaken villagers' initiative and passion to build up their hometown, and enrich tourists' travel experiences to improve the quality and efficiency of Tonglu's tourism, according to Fang Jiyu, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Director of the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Tonglu County.
