The 12th 'Tonglu People's Day' to Be Held

On the afternoon of April 22, the press conference of the 12th "Tonglu People's Day" was held in Maoping Village, Fuchunjiang Town, Tonglu County, Zhejiang Province.

May 6 holds a special significance for Tonglu County, as it marks the 12th anniversary of the "Tonglu People's Day" which first took place here in 2012. This year's "Tonglu People's Day" continues to uphold the principle of "joy, civility, safety and orderliness", centering on the theme of "Poetic County Welcomes Asian Games". Its organizing committee has carefully set up the events in terms of "changes in urban-rural environment, improvement in people's quality, and building of urban atmosphere", to fully showcase development achievements and vigorously pooling efforts toward progress.

Ten major series of events at the county level have been planned, including the Public Reading Week and Tonglu Fuchun River Poetry Society & Alliance of National Universities' Poetry Societies, Huigang Ancient Village Animation & Art Festival, "Wherever" Photography Exhibition and Poetry Reading, "Flag Raising Ceremony to Review Party Admission Oath", First Community "Neighbor Festival" themed on "Love Tonglu, Contribute to Asian Games", Symposium on "Welcoming Asian Games, Breaking Through Difficulties, and Displaying New Vitality", "Respect and Care for the Elderly", "All Welcomes Asian Games" Young Talent Orienteering Competition, county-level e-commerce promotions benefiting the people, and the 12th "Tonglu People's Day" themed evening party. In addition, each township, town, sub-district, administrative village, and community have also meticulously set up 179 unique activities.

On the same day, the 12th Study Festival and 2023 Public Reading Week was also unveiled. At the event, the first batch of members of the Tonglu Fuchun River Poetry Society & Alliance of National Universities' Poetry Societies was invited to attend and granted the certificate.
