Trial Run for New Silk Road Paradise Cultural Tourism Landmark in Shaanxi

Silk Road Paradise, a major Shaanxi Province cultural project and the first large-scale Silk Road theme park resort of its kind in China was put into trial operation in Xi'an on April 28 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The cultures and customs of seven different Silk Road countries and regions can be sampled at the park through unique architectural landscapes, traditional performances, and immersive interactive events ranging from Persian and Russian dancing to folk music ensembles and Italian opera. Visitors are invited to take part in the park’s pioneering “Hi you, 嗨游!” tour and follow original “Miracle” animated characters and participate in an immersive live-action game, redefining the meaning of an immersive park experience.

A grand original Silk Road-themed concert titled “The Home of the Silk Road” took place, bringing together the diverse cultures and art forms of the countries and regions along the Silk Road. At the same time, China's first ever Silk Road-themed musical, The Sound of the Silk Road opened its residency in the Tweedle Theater.

The trial run at Silk Road Paradise is aimed at nurturing a trillion-dollar cultural tourism industry cluster in Shaanxi Province, promoting high-quality cultural tourism development in the province, and opening a new chapter on Silk Road cultural tourism.
