Known as the cradle of China's aerospace industry, the Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base has cultivated several scientific and technological research institutes such as the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Academies of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, and over 40 leading commercial enterprises specializing in the aerospace industry, including Galaxy Space and Beijing Interstellar Glory Space Technology Co., Ltd. (iSpace). It has undertaken a huge number of major projects related to aerospace engineering. In recent years, Xi'an has introduced a series of policies aimed at promoting innovation, enhancing industrial development, and improving supporting facilities for the aerospace industry. These measures have helped to elevate the industry to a new stage. Currently, the Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base is focusing on ten key areas to foster industrial development (sci-tech innovation, industrial development, high-quality urban management, trendy urban life, healthcare and fitness, education, cultural tourism, transportation, water management, and environmental protection). By creating an optimal industrial development environment, the industrial base aims to become the premier aerospace industry hub.

During the event, four scientific and technological research institutes unveiled the initial group of the 2023 Demand List of Aerospace Industrial Chain. The list comprises projects from 43 categories that focus on areas such as key raw materials and parts production, processing, and R&D. The total demand for these projects reached approximately CNY 1.15 billion.

Furthermore, the event also showcased the Three-Year Action Plan for Shaanxi Aerospace Industry and the 2022 White Paper on China's Commercial Aerospace Development. These materials would provide targeted matchmaking services for the upstream and downstream of the aerospace industrial chain and set up a unique industrial ecosystem that includes top-notch enterprises and supporting facilities.
