XCAIB in Shaanxi Welcomes Visit from over 20 Media Editors and Reporters

On the Space Day of China, April 24, a convergence media publicity event centered around the theme "Science and Technology Lead the Development and Industrial Soar—Media's Views on Aerospace Industry" was held at the Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base. The event brought together editors and reporters from various central, provincial, and municipal media outlets. Over 20 media professionals embarked on an interview group to visit several key locations, including the Xi'an Branch of the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Qin Chuang Yuan Platform's Aerospace New Economy Industrial Park, Qin Chuang Yuan Platform's Shaanxi Internet of Things Industrial Base Zones A and B, and National Supercomputing Center in Xi'an. The purpose of this visit was to gain insights into the latest progress and achievements made by the Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base in fields such as industrial development, scientific and technological innovation, park development, and investment attraction.

During the interview, the group members got information concerning the history, scientific and technological milestones, and international cooperation of the Xi'an Branch of the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. Thus, they had the opportunity to have a deep understanding of competitiveness of this institution in advancing the growth of the aerospace industry in China.

The interview group paid a visit to the National Supercomputing Center in Xi'an, which is renowned as the intellectual hub of the city. By leveraging state-of-the-art computing infrastructure, the center has committed itself to promoting multidisciplinary scientific research for advanced computing and providing public computing services. It seeks to address the dearth of large-scale computing facilities in the northwestern region of China and serve the demands of the Belt and Road Initiative. The center aims to facilitate scientific and technological innovation while promoting the development of the digital economy.

The interview group made their way to the Qin Chuang Yuan Platform's Aerospace New Economy Industrial Park, followed by Zones A and B of Qin Chuang Yuan Platform's Shaanxi Internet of Things Industrial Base. During their visit, they gathered information regarding these industrial parks such as the development planning, construction progress, industrial layout, and investment opportunities.

The Xi'an National Civil Aerospace Industrial Base is the only national-level economic and technological development zone featuring the aerospace industry in China. It focuses on the advancement of the country's aerospace industry and has attracted eight national aerospace entities and over 40 commercial enterprises specializing in the aerospace industry. Thus, it serves as a pivotal cluster and carrier of China's aerospace industry.
